Love in the Wild: An Intimate Journey Through Uganda’s Heart

Welcome to East Africa! Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you'll be warmly greeted by our experienced tour guide, who will ensure a smooth transfer to your comfortable accommodation in Uganda, setting the tone for a relaxing and unforgettable journey.

After an early breakfast in Kigali, you shall check out and start your journey to the Uganda-Rwanda border. You may take some photography stops along the way. After processing your emigrations formalities at the border, you will cross and proceed to your accommodation. Check-in, relax, din and have an overnight stay.

After breakfast, the guide will accompany you to the park headquarters for the briefing at 08:00 a.m. well equipped with your packed lunch. You will then be divided into groups depending on the Gorilla family they have allocated you to track, thereafter proceed in to the forest and start your gorilla trekking experience following the trails in the forest. During the gorilla trekking experience, you may also encounter other different primate species and a variety of bird species. You will have one hour to observe, photograph and record the giant and gentle gorillas. This is truly a rewarding experience you will live to remember. After tracking the Gorillas, you will return to your accommodation to relax and later in the afternoon enjoy your community experience.

Today, you will visit a local village and connect with the community. Guests can participate in a meaningful project, such as helping construct a home for a family or painting a local school to support education. This hands-on experience allows you to leave a lasting impact while learning about Ugandan culture and daily life. Return to your lodge in the evening to relax and reflect on your contribution.

You will check out of your accommodation after breakfast to be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha Sector, a region most famous for the tree climbing lions and conspicuous wildlife viewing. Upon arrival, you will check into your accommodation and rest to prepare for the next day’s activities.

You will start this day with early morning game drive in Kasenyi, looking for different animal and bird species. This Park hosts a variety of wildlife that includes buffaloes, kobs, and elephants, waterbacks, as well as different bird species. Later in the afternoon, you will go on a boat cruise. The boat takes you through possibly the highest concentration of hippos, crocodile, and different bird species. You will also see many elephants, kobs, lions and buffaloes drinking at the water’s edges. You will return to the lodge afterwards.

You will leave Queen Elizabeth after breakfast. You will go across a green region dotted with crop gardens. You may need to make quick pauses along the journey for photos or to buy fresh fruits from one of the numerous roadside markets. Whilst in the park, you will take a mini-game drive on your way to the lodge. Arrive, check-in, relax, din, and have an overnight stay.

After having your early morning breakfast, you will go for a game drive to catch a glance at the early risers and nocturnal animals going back to their hiding places. Following Victoria Nile and Buligi tracks through the open grasslands, you will appreciate the rich diversity of wildlife in the Park-embowered in various eco-systems. Wild games to encounter will include; elephants, buffaloes, Jackson's hartebeest, oribi, reedbuck, hyenas among others, and exclusive species like elusive shoebill stork, yellow fronted tinker birds, goliath heron, malachite, kingfisher, etc.
Get back to your lodge, relax, have early lunch and then later in the afternoon for an afternoon boat cruise. While on the boat, you will meet the Nile crocodiles on the shores of the Nile River, big pools of hippos, elephants, and many other animals that come to the river to drink. Your onboard tour guide will help you spot and identify many birds along the Nile including egrets, kingfishers, eagles to mention but a few.

Withdraw to your lodge for relaxation.

Start the day tracking chimpanzees in Budongo Forest with trained guides. On your way to Entebbe, stop at a local primary school to plant 1–3 trees, leaving a tangible conservation impact and supporting environmental education for the children. Optionally, visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a close-up conservation experience. Continue to Entebbe for your departure flight, taking home unforgettable memories of wildlife, culture, and meaningful contributions.
