2 Days Tour Experience at Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary – Entebbe

Morning (Kampala): We'll start our adventure with a bright and early pick-up from your Kampala hotel (around 7:00 AM). After introductions and a briefing from our guide, we'll hit the road for a scenic drive (approximately 1.5 hours) to Entebbe, on the shores of Lake Victoria Google Maps [invalid URL removed].

Entebbe (9:00 AM): Upon arrival in Entebbe, we'll board a comfortable boat for a delightful 45-minute journey across Lake Victoria to Ngamba Island. Keep your eyes peeled for birdlife and stunning vistas of the vast lake.

Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary (10:00 AM): As we reach the island, we'll be met by the friendly staff of the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary. After a short informative talk about the history of the sanctuary and the rescued chimpanzees, we'll gear up for our first exciting activity:

Chimpanzee Feeding Session (11:00 AM): Witness the heartwarming sight of chimpanzees being fed by their caregivers. Observe their social interactions, playful antics, and unique personalities from a safe distance on a raised platform.

Lunch: Following the feeding session, we'll enjoy a delicious Ugandan lunch prepared by the sanctuary's chefs at the on-site restaurant. Savor the local flavors while taking in the tranquil island atmosphere.

Afternoon Exploration (Optional): In the afternoon (depending on season and chimpanzee activity), you may have the opportunity to participate in a guided nature walk around the island. Learn about the island's unique ecosystem, spot various bird species, and discover the flora and fauna that coexist with the chimpanzees.
Accommodation: As the day winds down, we'll settle into our comfortable eco-lodges on the island. These simple yet charming accommodations offer basic amenities and stunning views of the lake and surrounding forest.

Dinner: In the balmy Ugandan evening, we'll gather for a delightful dinner at the island's restaurant. Share stories and experiences from the day while enjoying a delectable Ugandan meal.

Morning (Ngamba Island): Rise and shine to the sounds of the forest on our second day. After a leisurely breakfast, we'll prepare for our final encounter with the chimpanzees.

Chimpanzee Viewing (11:30 AM): This session offers a unique perspective. We'll observe the chimpanzees as they interact freely by the lakeshore, engaging in natural behaviors like foraging, grooming, and playing.

Departure (12:30 PM): With a heart full of memories, we'll bid farewell to the chimpanzees and board the boat back to Entebbe. Enjoy the scenic return journey across the lake.

Entebbe & Return to Kampala (2:00 PM): Upon arrival in Entebbe, we'll take a short break (restroom facilities and refreshments available) before commencing our return drive to Kampala. Sit back, relax, and reminisce about your incredible chimpanzee encounter.
