Africa Sustainable Journeys (ASJ) is a purpose-driven travel social enterprise and a certified Meaningful Travel Impact Partner with Tourism Cares. We design transformative journeys across Uganda and Rwanda that connect travelers with nature, culture, and community while ensuring every experience contributes to meaningful, lasting impact.
We believe travel should uplift people and protect the places we explore. That’s why each ASJ journey directly supports grassroots initiatives ranging from conservation and education to cultural preservation and sustainable livelihoods. Through our “Choose Your Impact” initiative, travelers are invited to align their journey with causes they care about, making every adventure both personal and purposeful.
ASJ goes beyond facilitating impact. We actively invest in the communities and environments we work with. Our commitment includes funding local development efforts, supporting conservation programs, and working hand-in-hand with community partners to create long-term benefits on the ground.
To help reduce our environmental footprint, we collaborate with Sustainable Travel International (STI), contributing to their Climate Impact Portfolio to offset carbon emissions and support global climate action.
Our team of explorers, conservationists, and community advocates shares a unified vision to use travel as a force for good. From protecting wildlife to empowering local changemakers, we are building a travel model where everyone benefits: travelers, communities, and the planet.
