Volunteer With Us

Transform Lives, Protect Nature, Empower Communities

When volunteering with us, whether onsite in communities or supporting remotely, you make a real difference. You help lift lives, protect nature, and create lasting change. Through our programs in education, health, conservation, and economic empowerment, including practical support for families to earn and sustain their livelihoods, every action you take leaves a meaningful impact.

Rural Education

Education is the foundation of lasting change. Through our Rural Education Support initiative, volunteers help children in underserved nursery and primary schools overcome barriers to learning and unlock their potential.

As a volunteer, you may:

  • Support classroom learning, literacy, and after-school programs

  • Mentor and inspire students to build confidence and resilience

  • Facilitate teacher workshops to strengthen the quality of education

  • Provide uniforms, books, and essential learning materials, or support improvements to school facilities, helping children stay in school and learn in a better environment.

Every effort you make brings a child closer to staying in school, learning with dignity, and believing in their future.

Community Health & Wellbeing

In Bwindi, the Batwa and other rural communities face daily health challenges caused by poverty and limited access to care. This  supports local initiatives, including the Bwindi Batwa community clinic, to restore dignity and strengthen resilience.

As a volunteer, you may:

  • Assist in health outreach and education campaigns that raise awareness and save lives

  • Support local clinics, vaccination drives, and patient care

  • Promote hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention

  • Contribute resources, medical supplies, or help build modern community health facility.

Every action you take helps families overcome barriers, build healthier lives, and secure a brighter future for their children.

Local Conservation & Climate Action

Protecting Africa’s wildlife and ecosystems requires community-centered approaches. Our programs  empower youth, school children, and local communities to protect wildlife and its habitat while building sustainable livelihoods.

Volunteers can contribute by:

  • Supporting habitat restoration and wildlife conservation initiatives

  • Assisting with environmental education in local communities

  • Engaging in cultural exchange to promote conservation awareness

Your involvement helps safeguard endangered species, foster sustainable practices, and build long-term community resilience.

Rural Economic Empowerment & Livelihood Support

Empowering communities economically ensures long-term sustainability. Our programs equip young mothers, youth, and families with practical skills, entrepreneurship training, financial literacy, and livelihood support, enabling independence, social reintegration, and self-sufficiency.

Volunteers may:

  • Mentor and train women, youth, and families in vocational skills, crafts, agriculture, and income-generating activities

  • Facilitate entrepreneurship and financial literacy workshops

  • Support community savings groups and initiatives that strengthen sustainable livelihoods

  • Help families develop practical strategies to generate income and improve daily living

Through these efforts, volunteers directly contribute to building resilient communities, where individuals can earn, learn, and thrive.

By volunteering, you help individuals turn vulnerability into opportunity, creating a lasting impact that ripples through families and communities.

Volunteering begins when watching isn’t enough.
